In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Remove from heat and add the green tea bags.
Allow them to steep for 3 - 5 minutes.
While the tea is still warm, stir in honey to dissolve.
Adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference.
Allow the green tea mixture to cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Adjust the amount of lemon juice based of your taste preference tartness.
Transfer the green tea lemonade to a pitcher and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled green tea lemonade over the ice.
Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint leaves (if using)
Stir gently before sipping to combine the flavours.
For added flavor, you can infuse the green tea with a few slices of ginger or a sprig fresh basil during steeping.
