HEALTHIER GREEN TEA LEMONADE

Ingredients:

  1. 4 cups water
  2. 3 green tea bags
  3. 1/4 cup honey (adjust to taste)
  4. Juice of 2 lemons
  5. Ice cubes
  6. Lemon slices for garnish
  7. Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

 

Instructions:

Boil water and Steep green tea:

In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Remove from heat and add the green tea bags.

Allow them to steep for 3 - 5 minutes.

Sweeten with Honey:

While the tea is still warm, stir in honey to dissolve.

Adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference.

Cool Down:

Allow the green tea mixture to cool to room temperature.

Add Lemon Juice:

Once cooled, stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Adjust the amount of lemon juice based of your taste preference tartness.

Chill:

Transfer the green tea lemonade to a pitcher and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.

Serve:

Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled green tea lemonade over the ice.

Garnish and Enjoy:

Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint leaves (if using)

Stir gently before sipping to combine the flavours.

Optional:

For added flavor, you can infuse the green tea with a few slices of ginger or a sprig fresh basil during steeping.

Serve and Enjoy:

Serve the healthier green tea lemonade as a refreshing drink on a hot day or as a light and nutritious beverage any time.
