INDIAN YOGURT DIP

Igredients:

  1. 1 cup plain yogurt (preferably greek yogurt)
  2. 1 small cucumber, grated
  3. 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  4. 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
  5. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint or cilantro (optional)
  6. 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  7. 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds (optional for garnish)

 

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth.

Add the grated cucumber, cumin powder, salt, chopped mint or cilantro (if using), and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt or spices if needed.

Refrigerate the raita for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Sprinkle rosted cumin seeds on top just before serving.
