Just 11 minutes of walking daily can lower your risk of premature death by nearly 25%.
The largest study on physical activity and mortality, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, analyzed data from over 30 million people and found that, early deaths could be averted if everyone went for at least an 11 minutes of walk everyday. On the other side premature death could be prevented if people met the recommended 150 minutes of exercise weekly.
Health Benefits of Walking are:
Lower risk of premature death by 23%.
Lower risk of heart disease by 17%.
Lower risk of cancer by 7%.
Lower risk of specific cancers like myeloid leukemia and some stomach cancers by upto 26%.
More great reasons to go for a walk can be:
A form of a meditation for some.
Great time to take meeting.

Enjoy the fresh air.

I would like to say that small and gradual changes can bring a range of health benefits. If 11 minutes is manageable, try gradually increasing to the full recommended 150 minutes a week.
